How do I apply for a credit refund?

If you believe you qualify for a credit refund, this guide will walk you through the process – when to apply, how to submit your request, and what to do if you receive a no-findings report.

When can you apply for a refund?

You can apply for refund within 30 days of using a credit if:

  • There are errors or discrepancies in the report
  • You have not received a report
  • Other legitimate reasons

Important: Refund requests will not be accepted after 30 days from when the credit was used. For full details, please refer to our Refund Policy.

How to apply for a credit refund

To request a refund, follow these steps:

1. Contact our support team by filling out the Contact Form.

2. Provide the VIN number you checked, the date of purchase, and a brief explanation of the issue.

3. Our team will review your request and notify you of the outcome.

Credits will remain active in your account for 6 months from the date they are refunded.

No-findings reports: Automatic refunds

If your report contains no historical data, the credit will be refunded automatically. You do not need to submit a refund request in this case.

Automatically refunded credits will remain active in your account for 6 months from the date they were purchased. During this period, you can use the returned credits to check the VIN of any other vehicle and get a new report.
